September 7, 2023 on the second day of the Open Government Partnership (OGP) Global Summit B. Bolorsaikhan, Secretary of the National Committee for Human Rights and Director of Committee Secretariat, Secretary of Mongolia MSF attended “Building and Protecting Civil Society Resilience in Time of Democratic Transition” session with Director of Civitates Elisa Peter, Director of ICD Anabel Cruz, Director of FUNDE Jessica Estrada, Founder of Law Society of Azerbaijan Ziya Guliyev, and General Director of Ethic and Government Integrity Milagros Ortiz Bosch. During the session everybody expressed their opinion on corruption, democracy, civil society, and their country's problems affecting open government and ways to find solutions.
During OGP Expo B. Myagmarnaran, Director of the E-Mongolia Academy, presented to the public the “e-Mongolia initiative”, which received honorable mention of OGP awards 2023.
Mongolian delegation joined afternoon sessions of the OGP Summit organized on topics such as digital governance in the age of big technology, promoting civic space online, making public budgets more responsive, the future of digital government, and how to ensure disinformation and abuse-free online platform to safeguard elections worldwide.
The closing plenary was concluded with a panel discussion by Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, USAID Administrator Samantha Power, EU Commissioner for International Partnerships Jutta Urpilainen, and CEO and President of Rappler Maria Ressa.
The OGP Summit was successfully organized on September 5-7, 2023 in Tallinn, Estonia. Each country concluded with the wish to meet again in 2024 at the OGP Summit in the Republic of Kenya. During this event, about 1,550 participants from more than 100 countries took part in plenary sessions, high-level round table meetings, thematic and open discussions, strategic meetings, seminars, networking events, and award ceremonies.
