OGP NATIONAL COUNCIL APPROVES FIFTH NATIONAL ACTION PLAN

The 3rd session of the National Council of Open Government Partnership was held on December 26, 2023. At this meeting, Mr. Uchral Nyam-Ochir, the Deputy Chairman of the National Council, Member of Parliament, Minister of Digital Development and Communications informed about the participation of the Mongolian delegation in the 8th Open Government Partnership Summit. Mr. Baasandorj Barsuren, the Head of Authority of Government Supervisory and the Deputy head of the Cabinet Secretariat, presented the co-created government commitments and its activities of the Government of Mongolia in 2024-2027.

Following the presentation, members of the national council shared their experiences and positions, and finally approved them by consensus. The OGP National Action Plan V will be approved by the Minister of Mongolia and the Head of the Cabinet Secretariat, and will be delivered to respective all stakeholders, and the leading implementing organization will inform on the implementation process of the plan on a quarterly basis. In coming years, Mr. Bolorsaikhan Badamsambuu, the Secretary of the National Council of Open Government Partnership as well as the Secretary of the National Committee for Human Rights, and the Head of the Office will be responsible for monitoring, assessing, calculating the results, and reporting every six months in accordance with relevant laws.
