Open Government Partnership’s National Council and Roundtable discussion of CSOs convened its second meeting

The National Council meeting and Roundtable discussion of CSOs was held on August 29, 2023. During the meeting, members discussed the results of the implementation of the National Action Plan IV and the submission of the report. Also Mongolian delegation was introduced, which will participate on the 8th Open Government Partnership Summit to be organized on September 6-7. Delegation is led by are the Vice Chief of the National Council Minister N.Uchral and consists of Vice ​​Chief Cabinet Secretary B.Baasandorj, State Secretary N.Ankhbayar, B.Battsetseg, Ambassador T.Janabazar, Secretary B.Bolorsaikhan, and Officer D.Nominchimeg.

The members emphasized the need to establish a Working Group to develop National Action Plan V with multi-stakeholder participation, and highlighted the continuation of Mongolian Parliament and the Government effort to implement and bring step-by-step changes and reforms and fulfill their commitments. For example, the Secretary of the National Council of Open Government Partnership B.Bolorsaikhan noted that there is a need to clarify the plan and reporting process, D. Erdenechimeg, representative of the Open Society Forum NGO, to create a mechanism for government and non-government organizations to sit together and evaluate the implementation, EITI Sh. Tsolmon, the coordinator of the project, emphasized the importance of including Government officers in the implementation monitoring, Sh.Ariunaa, the representative of the Mongolian Women's Labor Support Association NGO proposed the new process to ensure the successful implementation of the plan.
